Who does online learning?
Online learning suits many organisations and individuals for a range of reasons. You may be unable to attend a class, or find the right course at the right time. You might work shifts, have a young family, you may be travelling, have a disability that makes it difficult to attend a class, or you may simply enjoy learning online. If you are interested in customised courses for your employees, please email us for information.
What support will I receive?
If you are unsure in which course to enrol yourself or your employees you can discuss this before you enrol. You can either talk to staff at the college, or talk to the trainer and course designer who knows the content of the courses intimately. When a participant begins a course they are contacted by a trainer/assessor and receive continued individual support and guidance throughout the course of study. You can ask questions by email or phone and these will be answered promptly. If you have any technical problems, there is also a person to support you.
Are courses easy to navigate?
Courses are easy to navigate and designed with the learner in mind. There is a guide for you to read, or you can simply ask if you need some tips and we’ll run you through the best way to study a course by phone or email.
What is the timeframe?
The timeframe is flexible. When a participant enrols in a course we recommended a timeframe to complete it - this is usually four weeks per unit of study, estimated at 4-6 hours per week. Participants can complete earlier, or take more time. The time a person takes depends on their previous experience in the topic and the amount of time they have to set aside to devote to study. The timeframe is flexible to suit your needs.
When can I start?
Participants enrol online, then issued with a user name and password. Processing takes around one business day before you will receive your password. With no traveling time and no class times, these courses enable people to enrol and start quickly from home and/or in the workplace.
What qualification will I receive?
All courses result in a National Qualification which is recognised by employers and other training bodies across Australia. If you complete a whole certificate course you receive a National Qualification by way of a Certificate. If you complete a short course you receive a National Qualification by way of a Statement of Attainment for each unit you successfully complete.
